Dear Burcu….have you got a book r two published?? I’d love to know … thank you. The picture of the snowy street brings up a sense of ‘huzun’ in me …..thank you.
It is hard not to imagine your glorious words, images and insights between the covers of a book the reader escapes to, exploring vicariously through your eyes. Wonderful travel writing. We have a notion that there’s a trip to Japan in us. But the breadth of it is wild! Way beyond our comprehension!
This was beautiful, I didn’t want it to end. So, I now have an expectation of a book from you - a book with, of course, lots of your beautiful photography, and also lots of stories 😊
Some friends of ours went to Yakushima around New Year. They seemed to be stuck with a group which partly annoyed because the group was of quite mixed abilities. But they did enjoy what they saw.
I'm not clear if the group thing was mandatory or just what they signed up for but once in the group they couldn't escape from it :)

What wonderful adventures and practical suggestions. You keep adding to my bucket list, and I am grateful!
Thank you, Mark. You are a lucky Kyushu resident! I love the mainland as much but could not cover it all in one post.
Thanks for your enjoyable letter. The photos are beautiful.
Thank you for your time, Randy.

Beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you Mihai.
Amazing photos, and good travel reportage from an unusual travel destination: Japan southern islands. I most enyojed the Yakushima story and images.
Thank you Pablo, Yakushima is truly amazing.
Beautiful summary of Yamushima. The hiking there is without peer and the after trek reward of a tidal onsen is pure bliss.
Exactly!

As always, thank you for your time and kind words. I hope you get to visit Japan soon!

Ah that is too bad. I wonder how the landscape was at that time of the year. I hear the island gets a lot of snow in higher altitudes.
A lovely read rich in resources! Thank you for sharing some hidden gems from Kyushu.
Thank you! This ended up being a bit longer than I expected for a newsletter post, but well, what can you do? :)
Already big to-do list has just expanded. After reading the post. Thank you.
Igor, as always, thank you for your time. I think you would really enjoy Yakushima.
